Terms & Conditions

Template — these general terms should be reviewed by a suitably qualified adviser before relying on them.

Quotes

Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote. They are based on the scope, dimensions, materials and photos provided. If the job differs from what was described, or site conditions change the work required, the price may change and will be confirmed before proceeding.

Acceptance and deposits

Work begins once a quote is accepted (online, by email or in writing). A deposit may be required for custom fabrication to cover materials; this will be stated on the quote.

Materials and workmanship

Work is carried out by a qualified tradesman using materials suited to the job. Finishes (paint, galvanising) are as stated on the quote. Where a customer supplies their own materials or drawings, the customer is responsible for their suitability.

Repairs

Repairs are assessed honestly. Some items are beyond economical or safe repair; where that is the case we will recommend replacement. Repairs to trailers, vehicles or load-bearing items are limited to what can be completed properly in the workshop.

Payment

Invoices are due by the date shown on the invoice. Goods remain the property of Rivals Welding & Fabrication until paid in full. The business is not currently registered for GST; no GST is charged.

Collection

Completed items should be collected within 14 days of notification unless otherwise agreed. Delivery, where quoted, is to the address stated on the quote.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to re-performing the work or refunding the amount paid for it.
